Public parking in Dubai is run by Parkin. It is paid Monday to Saturday, 8am to 10pm, and free on Sundays and public holidays. Peak hours are 8–10am and 4–8pm, when premium areas cost AED 6 an hour and regular areas AED 4, plus 5% VAT since June 2026. You can pay by SMS to 7275 (the service many people still call mParking) using your plate, zone code and hours, through the Parkin app, at meters or via WhatsApp. If you park in the same busy area every day — Dubai Marina, Downtown, Business Bay — or need a guaranteed spot on an event night, a reserved resident bay booked on Parkmint by the day or month can be simpler and cheaper.
